Whitney Johnson of Bella Lucy Spa: Caring for the Women Who Care for Everyone
An autism mom and entrepreneur, Whitney Johnson is making caregiver care part of her business—and putting that commitment into action with three sponsored facials through Auesomely You Cares Inc.’s Adopt a Mom initiative.

Caregivers spend so much time making sure someone else has what they need. Whitney Johnson is building a business around a question that deserves equal attention: who is caring for them?
The owner of The Bella Lucy Spa and a mother raising an autistic child, Johnson brings lived experience to her work. Her focus on caregiver self-care begins with recognizing the woman behind the appointments, responsibilities, and daily advocacy.
A mission shaped by motherhood
In a February 2025 interview with Shoutout Atlanta, Johnson described seeking her child’s autism diagnosis with little support. She also explained her work as a licensed esthetician and her intention to create a welcoming spa environment for people in the special needs community and their parents.[1]
Her account places inclusion at the center of the business. She wants caregivers to have space to relax and feel valued, particularly when their own needs have slipped behind everyone else’s. Johnson also credited faith and community with helping her persevere through challenges.[1]
Making room for the caregiver
Auesomely You Magazine previously profiled Johnson’s approach to helping mothers make time for themselves, communicate their needs, and build self-care into everyday life. That coverage documented her focus on supporting moms and caregivers through skincare, encouragement, and community engagement.[2]
For this magazine, the significance is practical: caregiver well-being deserves a place in the conversation about family support. A moment of rest does not remove the responsibilities waiting at home. It does recognize that the person carrying those responsibilities deserves attention, too.
Three moms. Three sponsored facials.
For Auesomely You Cares Inc.’s Adopt a Mom initiative, Bella Lucy Spa is sponsoring three spa facials for three autism moms or special needs moms. The commitment was confirmed by program organizer Dr. Crystal Jordan, L.H.D.
That contribution turns a message about self-care into a specific opportunity: three mothers will be able to receive a facial through the initiative. It is a service sponsorship, with care directed toward women who so often organize it for others.
The sponsorship is a commitment for the program; the services have not been represented as already delivered. A facial is one offering of rest and recognition within the wider work of supporting caregivers.
Care that becomes a contribution
Johnson’s example gives other business owners a concrete place to begin. Look at the skills or services already within reach, identify a community need, and make a clear commitment.
At Bella Lucy Spa, that commitment includes three sponsored facials. At Adopt a Mom, it becomes part of a shared effort to recognize mothers as people with needs, interests, and identities of their own.
